Taffi is a Director and the Principal of Genesis Law Associates Ltd. He has over 10 years of direct legal experience (3 years in general private practice, and 6 years practicing and specializing in Immigration and Asylum law in the UK).
He is well known for being results-oriented.
Taffi's career includes a spell with the Refugee Legal Centre (now Refugee and Migrant Justice) where he was a Senior Immigration Caseworker, specialising in asylum and detention work. He also worked for the Immigration Advisory Service as an Appeals Caseworker.
Until recently, he was a solicitor at Bake & Co Solicitors where he also supervised and managed a team of solicitors and immigration caseworkers, apart from handling his own case-load.
Taffi is experienced in all aspects of immigration and asylum law. His wide-ranging caseload includes entry clearance applications and appeals, nationality and asylum applications and applications for further leave to remain in the UK, including under the new Points Based System.
Taffi is in demand as a speaker on latest developments in UK immigration and asylum law at community events and fora.
In his spare time, Taffi likes to cycle and to sing - badly - at his church.
CK is one of our senior legal advisors at Genesis Law Associates Ltd. He has over 13 years of direct legal experience (6 years as a member of the justice system in the Republic of the Sudan and 7 years practicing and specializing in Immigration and Asylum law in the UK).
As a student, CK was a high achiever and was awarded a number of awards including:
CK worked previously for the Ministry of Justice in the Republic of Sudan. Until August 2011, he was a supervising counsellor at the Immigration Advisory Service (in administration). He supervised a team of caseworkers with various qualifications and experience in addition to his substantial caseload. CK is highly regarded by his peers and superiors. Every client CK had had dealings with spoke highly of him and appreciated his knowledge and professionalism.
CK also delivers training courses in UK immigration and asylum law to practitioners of different levels.
CK is married and has two daughters. In his spare time, CK likes to watch football matches and dance to his Rumba music.
Tony Gomez is registered at Level 3 with the OISC. He has considerable experience in asylum and immigration caseworker. He was until recently a senior caseworker at the Immigration Advisory Service. He first began as an immigration advisor at the Bristol Resource Centre (now known as Bristol Law Centre) in 1979. He is also currently a trainer on immigration, asylum and nationality law for the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI). He has extensive experience of preparing and presenting immigration cases before Immigration Judges at Asylum & Immigration Tribunal.
Nazia is our Office Manager. She has been an administrator for many years and has worked mostly in the field of immigration/asylum law. Naz began her career at the Refugee Legal Centre (now Refugee and Migrant Justice). Until recently, she co-ordinated administrative support for Bake & Co, a Birmingham firm of solicitors, since its inception in 2007.
Nazia is fluent in Punjabi and Mirpuri.
